Date
Nov 16, 2026
Time
3 p.m. - 4 p.m. ET

The new 2024 NIH Public Access Policy went into effect on July 1, 2025 and requires that NIH-funded researchers make their articles publicly available through PubMed Central immediately upon the publication date. This informational session will provide an overview of the new policy, as well as tips for ensuring you stay compliant.

Topics to be covered:

  • Overview of the policy and what’s new
  • How to submit a manuscript to PubMed Central (PMC)
  • Using My Bibliography to track your compliance status
  • Troubleshoot common compliance issues

This workshop is ideal for researchers who currently receive NIH funding or may apply in the future, as well as staff who support NIH-funded researchers.

This workshop will not be recorded, but slides will be shared with participants.

Can’t make the workshop? Check out our NIH Public Access Policy Guide.

If you require an accommodation such as live captioning or interpretation to participate in this event, please contact Sarah Norman at sarah.norman@osumc.edu or (614) 292-4861. Requests made by Monday, November 9 will generally allow us to provide seamless access, but the university will make every effort to meet requests made after this date.
