Prior 205A OT/PT Practice Room

OT, PT and MAT learners can reserve the HSL's OT/PT Practice Room (Prior 205A) to practice hands-on skills development. The space is equipped with equipment and tools commonly found in a therapy patient care environment.

Access

Prior 205A is located on the second floor of the Health Sciences Library, north of the public elevators. It is available by reservation only for students in the Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy and Master's of Athletic Training in groups of two or more during the library's normal operating hours. Users must check out a key at the Public Services Desk with a valid photo ID to access the room.

OT and PT equipment that might typically be used for patient care, including a patient bed, wheelchair, lifting straps, etc. 

How to Use the Space

OT/PT practice rooms are available to students in the Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy and Master's of Athletic Training programs only.

OT/PT Practice Room: Terms & Conditions

  • Use is restricted to OT, PT, and MAT students. Users must be on the student list for one of these three programs to check out the key.
  • The practice room is intended for group use. A minimum of 2 people is required per reservation.
  • Reservations are accepted up to two weeks in advance for a maximum of two hours per day.
  • Group members may not book back-to-back reservations.
  • Come to the Public Services Desk with your photo ID to check out the key.
  • Reservations may be cancelled if the room is not occupied within 10 minutes of the start of the reservation.
  • If no one else has reserved the room, a reservation may be extended by contacting the Public Services desk at the reservation end time. Reservations will not be extended before the reservation end time.
  • Door must be closed and locked when you leave the room.
  • Late fines may be assessed for keys not returned by reservation end time.
