Our Collections
Our Collections
At its inception, the Medical Heritage Center began acquiring historic material and artifacts that speak to central Ohio's rich health sciences history. All MHC collections are housed in a temperature and humidity-controlled environment. Collections are available for viewing by appointment only.
Rare Book Collection
Artifact Collection
The artifacts collection represents medical equipment used as early as the 1800s and ranges from those now perceived as quackery to those that were truly innovations of their time.
Please contact the MHC Collections Curator for more information and access to the artifact collection.
Archival Collection
The MHC's archives include papers and memorabilia from regional and nationally recognized luminaries such as Arthur G. James, M.D., William G. Myers, M.D., Ph.D., and Robert Zollinger, M.D., as well as medical organizations such as the Ohio Health Sciences Library Association and the Mid-Ohio District Nurses Association.
