Check out the HSL’s Summer 2026 workshop lineup!
The Health Sciences Library (HSL) librarians hold educational workshops each semester, geared towards The Ohio State University and Wexner Medical Center clinicians, researchers, faculty, staff and learners. Note that individuals outside of the health sciences are welcome to register, but please be aware that the content of the workshops may be more health sciences-focused.
If you require an accommodation such as live captioning or interpretation to participate in an event, please let us know. Requests made by one week prior to the workshop date will generally allow us to provide seamless access, but the university will make every effort to meet requests made within the one-week timeframe.
Follow the links below to register for individual workshops. Seating is limited and registration is required, except where noted.

Thursday, July 30, 2026, Noon – 1 p.m. EDT — Developing Students' Expertise: When and How to Integrate GenAI into Health Sciences Education
GenAI provides opportunities for students to practice what they have learned, but it can also prevent students from developing the disciplinary knowledge they need to succeed in and outside the classroom. Identifying what we want students to know and be able to do upon completion of a course can help instructors recognize where GenAI can help students develop their expertise as well as key areas of expertise that students shouldn't offload to GenAI.
Join us for a collaborative workshop where we will discuss the types of expertise we want health sciences students to demonstrate and identify where GenAI can assist with the learning process.
