Which Review Should I Do? Types of Literature Reviews and How to Choose

Join us for a session that will help you plan for your next large-scale literature review. Whether due to limitations in time/resources or simply by nature of the research need, systematic reviews aren't always the best option; however, there are other robust review types that may suit your needs.

Topics to be covered include:

• The overarching concept of literature reviews
• The distinctions between scoping reviews, rapid reviews and literature reviews for dissertations. We'll discuss each review type's requirements, timeline and suitability for different research needs.
• What distinguishes a systematic review from other reviews and when to consider running a full systematic review.

This session is open to researchers at any level, but may be particularly helpful for those working on a thesis or dissertation, leading research teams or advising others on their research projects.

This workshop will not be recorded, but slides will be shared with participants.
