Stephanie Schulte, MLIS
Stephanie Schulte is assistant vice president, Health Sciences, director, The Ohio State University Health Sciences Library (HSL), and professor/HSL research and education librarian.
Stephanie’s expertise includes:
- Expert searching and guidance on systematic reviews, especially for clinical medicine and medical education topics
- National Institutes of Health (NIH) data management and sharing policy
- General copyright questions connected to research, teaching and clinical care
- Research metrics used in promotion and tenure processes
- Instruction on any of the above topics
Professor Schulte has served as a university senator and and as a member of the Faculty Compensation and Benefits and Intellectual Property, Patents and Copyright committees. Her current research involves understanding how basic science librarians work with basic scientists. She has a Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) from Kent State University, a Bachelor of Science in biology with a minor in chemistry from Morehead State University, and spent 10 years conducting research in industry laboratories prior to becoming a librarian. She has been a faculty librarian at Ohio State since 2008.
