HSL Computer Lab - 460B
The 38-seat lab, as seen in the diagram and photo, offers easily accessible seating in an arced configuration. The desks allow for the Dell 9020 All-in-One computers to be raised for use or recessed for a traditional classroom experience. A centrally located podium provides the presenter greater visibility and mobility. Viewing in the room is greatly improved with high-definition dual projectors, two motorized screens and two additional digital displays mounted to enhance viewing from any location in the room. Audio and video conferencing have become a standard in the classroom experience and are also available in this room.
The lab is a self-service location used primarily for faculty and staff training. When not in use, the computers are available for individual use and the weekly schedule is posted at the entrance.
How to Schedule the Computer Lab
Begin scheduling by using the link below. You will initially see lab availability in a month view. To change views, select Day, Week or Month on the left, just above the calendar. Select the specific day you are interested in by clicking on the date. The details for that day are displayed. Select your start time by clicking on the band next to the time. You will asked to log in using your OSU name.# credentials, then fill out the online form. Your request will be reviewed and a confirmation email will be sent to you upon approval. You can login to edit or delete your event at any time.
The lab hours correlate to library hours, with availability 15 minutes after the library opens and up to 15 minutes before closing.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: The Computer Lab will be unavailable from Jan 15 - March 31, 2018.
Software Installation and Browser Compatability:
- As a self-service space, it is the requestor's responsibility to conduct all system checks or test compatability in preparation for the event. This should be done at least 3 weeks beforehand.
- The requestor may be required to provide the software and/or proof of license to use prior to the event.
Please add "Test" in the comments section when submitting the request form for tests requiring the installation of special software or browsers. At least three weeks notice is required for all tests requiring software customization to coordinate the install and time for the requestor to review and approve functionality before test day. While we do our best to accommodate, having less than three weeks notice may reduce the chance of having the required technology in place.

The IHIS environment is accessible on Computer Lab machines. The Citrix icon on the desktop of the computer lab machines points to the teaching environment for IHIS (accesslearn.osumc.edu). To access the live environment for IHIS, open the browser, visit access.osumc.edu, then enter your DUO information. If you do not have DUO access call the OSUWMC Help Desk at 614-293-3861 for assistance. Once you are logged into Citrix with DUO you can log into IHIS with your MedCtr credentials.
