Lisa Wood, MLIS
Bio
Lisa Wood graduated from Ohio University with a BA in History and Public Administration and a certificate in Women’s Studies. She then earned her Masters of Library and Information Science from Kent State University. Before joining the Medical Heritage Center, Lisa worked as a contract archivist for the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Division of Geological Survey. A significant part of Lisa’s career was at the Ohio History Connection Archives & Library where she held multiple roles, including archives research assistant, archivist, curator and unit manager. Lisa specifically curated historic film and photography collections. In addition to carrying out all aspects of managing archival collections, she contributed to numerous exhibitions, developed successful public programs and wrote pieces for Timeline and Echoes magazines and the Ohio History blog.
