HSL Reopens Prior 550 as a Multi-purpose Space
In June, 2024 the HSL reopened Prior 550 as a multi-purpose space on the 5th floor of Prior Hall. The renovated 3,300+ square foot room features updated, configurable furniture and state-of-the-art presentation technology as well as multiple large displays. Health sciences learners and faculty can reserve the room in advance for events such as lectures and meetings. When the room is not reserved, it is available for open study use.
LHI Renovations Improve Access to Health Resources
The HSL’s Library for Health Information (LHI) completed renovations and held a grand reopening celebration event in late August, 2024. The 10-month project added increased security features for staff and visitors, new carpeting, updated furniture and improved shelving for storage and display of LHI materials. Public computing stations were also upgraded to improve the visitor browsing experience for digital resources. This was the first full-scale renovation of the Rhodes Hall 5th floor atrium LHI location since the library first opened in 1996. We invite you to visit our refreshed space!
