CE Resource Showcase

Date
Dec 3, 2025
Time
1 p.m. - 2 p.m. ET

Continuing Medical Education resources allow clinicians to stay updated with knowledge and skills in their fields. This session will highlight resource subscriptions available through the Health Sciences Library that provide continuing education credits.

Topics to be covered include:

  • An overview of resources offering CE credit including UpToDate, ClinicalKey, AccessMedicine, Journal of the American Medical Association, New England Journal of Medicine, Henry Stewart Talks, and more
  • How to register, earn, and claim CE credit
  • Where to find information on CE credit through the HSL’s web tools

This workshop is ideal for physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, or other healthcare professionals interested in sources for CE credit.

This workshop will not be recorded, but slides will be shared with participants.

If you require an accommodation such as live captioning or interpretation to participate in this event, please contact Katherine Hoffman at katherine.hoffman@osumc.edu or (614) 292-4861. Requests made by Wednesday, November 26 will generally allow us to provide seamless access, but the university will make every effort to meet requests made after this date.

Scientific Writing for Bioscience Researchers

Date
Nov 21, 2025
Time
9 a.m. - 12 p.m. ET
Location

OSU Health Sciences Library, Prior Hall Room 550, 376 W. 10th Ave

This workshop is designed primarily for new or early-stage writers who have never written a manuscript or are currently working on a draft.

Learn how to carefully consider and optimize the content, organization, presentation, and flow of your scientific manuscripts so that you can present your research in the best light.

You will need to bring:

  • Two printed copies of an abstract.
  • Two printed copies of a figure or table you plan to use for a paper you are currently writing.

If you don't have either of these, you can bring copies from a lab publication.

We strive to host inclusive, accessible events that enable all individuals, including individuals with disabilities, to engage fully. To request an accommodation or for inquiries about accessibility, please contact Katherine Hoffman at katherine.hoffman@osumc.edu or (614) 292-4861. At least two weeks' advance notice will help us to provide seamless access.
