More than 6,800 Health Sciences eJournals are available at OSU.  Links are available through the Online Journals and eBooks List and in the Library Catalog.  Many library databases including PubMed provide Find It links Find It @ OSU Button that search the library's journal holdings and provide links to the full-text of articles where available through library subscriptions.

eBooks

Thousands of eBooks available through the library are accessible through the web browser of your desktop, laptop, or mobile device.  You can search for eBooks available at OSU in the Library Catalog or Online Journals and eBooks List.  You can also access many subject specific eBooks in publisher collections and databases.

PubMed

PubMed comprises more than 30 million citations for biomedical literature from MEDLINE, PubMed Central, and life science journals, plus a small collection of online books.

Our Collections

At its inception, the Medical Heritage Center began acquiring historic material and artifacts that speak to central Ohio's rich health sciences history. All MHC collections are housed in a temperature and humidity-controlled environment. All collections are available for viewing by appointment.

Rare Book Collection

The rare book collection contains over 20,000 volumes representing limited edition and one-of-a kind monographs dating back to 1555.

Reserve Materials

The Health Sciences Library Reserve features materials such as books, serials, and anatomical models that are used in or supplement OSU courses that are given shorter loan periods to provide equitable access to materials.

Interlibrary Services

Interlibrary Services provides interlibrary loan and document delivery of articles, books and book chapters, and more through the ILLiad request system. The Health Sciences Library (HSL) and Ohio State Interlibrary Services (located in Thompson Library) have partnered to provide one centralized service for all Ohio State students, faculty and staff.
