Library Public Services Associate Manager

We’re looking for a Public Services team member who enjoys leading and mentoring others, thrives in a collaborative environment and finds satisfaction in solving challenges to provide valuable customer services.

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Supervise and manage a team of 10 – 15 student employees, including hiring, training, scheduling and performance evaluation
  • Provide front-line assistance to HSL visitors at the library’s front desk, including circulation support, resource guidance and basic reference services
  • Serve as the on-site supervisor for evening and weekend operations
  • Act as the Public Services lead for electronic resources, serving as liaison to the HSL Resource Management team and providing expertise in troubleshooting and access
