Planned Catalog System Migration To Cause Temporary Service Disruptions
Public Services Manager
The OhioLINK network, which connects Ohio libraries and provides The Ohio State University community with access to the collections of more than 85 institutions across the state, will be migrating to a new system over the next couple of months.
The new system will improve collaboration and better address user catalog searching needs. The migration is scheduled to go live on June 25, 2025. We expect some temporary service disruptions during the transition.
What Users Can Expect:
- May 23 – June 25: Non-Ohio State libraries items cannot be requested through OhioLINK. Interlibrary services will still be available.
- June 10 – June 25: The Ohio State libraries online catalog cannot be used to check out items. You can check out materials in person by visiting the owning library’s circulation desk.
- Beginning June 25: Catalog services are expected to resume. Most permalinks/bookmarks pointing to the deprecated Ohio State catalog will redirect error-free to the new catalog entry for approximately one year after the transition; however, some links may not redirect correctly. Course instructors are encouraged to begin updating any hardcoded catalog links in their course materials as soon as possible.
