Beyond PubMed

Monday, March 20
2 p.m. – 3 p.m. EDT

Online Workshop led by Anna Biszaha, Assistant Professor, HSL Research and Education Librarian

Are you curious about library resources you could use in your research besides PubMed, but you’re not sure where to start? Join us for an introduction to library resources that you can add to your arsenal and complement your PubMed searches, empowering you to find the information you are looking for.

This workshop will provide an overview of select library resources and databases, including a description of the types of information they contain, basic techniques to access and use them, and when you might consider searching in them.

Resources discussed will include:

  • Resources: ClinicalKey, LWW Medical Education Health Library, and UpToDate
  • Databases: Embase, CINAHL, Scopus, and Web of Science Core Collection

Previous experience with these resources is not required. This workshop is ideal for students, faculty, or staff looking to expand their resource knowledge and research skills.

This workshop will not be recorded, but slides will be shared with participants.

If you require accommodation such as live captioning or interpretation to participate in this event, please contact Katherine Hoffman at katherine.hoffman@osumc.edu or (614) 292-4861. Requests made by Monday, March 13 will generally allow us to provide seamless access, but the university will make every effort to meet requests made after this date.
