Wednesday, February 22
12 p.m. – 1 p.m. EST
Online Workshop led by Kerry Dhakal, Assistant Professor,
 HSL Research and Education Librarian

Join us for an introduction to searching in the CINAHL Database. This database is one of the top resources to search for nursing and allied health literature, and the workshop will provide an overview of how to best use this system.

Topics to be covered include:

  • What is CINAHL?
  • How to access the database and perform a basic search
  • Understanding the parts of a CINAHL record
  • How to access your Search Details and download a full-text article
  • An introduction to synonym searching
  • Creating an EBSCO account

Previous CINAHL experience is not required. This workshop is ideal for students, faculty, or staff new to CINAHL, as well as those with some experience but looking for a refresher.

This workshop will not be recorded. It will include a live demonstration of using the CINAHL database interface.

If you require accommodation such as live captioning or interpretation to participate in this event, please contact Katherine Hoffman at katherine.hoffman@osumc.edu or (614) 292-4861. Requests made by Wednesday, February 15 will generally allow us to provide seamless access, but the university will make every effort to meet requests made after this date.
