AI and Literature Reviews in the Health Sciences Workshop

Wednesday, November 5
Noon – 1 p.m. EST
Online Workshop led by Kerry Dhakal, Associate Professor, HSL Research and Education Librarian

Join us for an introductory session to searching the health sciences literature using Generative Artificial Intelligence (Gen AI) tools compared to current literature searching best practices in the context of Evidence-Based Practice (EBP).

Topics to be covered include:

  • Current best practices for searching the literature
  • GenAI tools for literature searching introduction
  • The pros and cons of using GenAI for literature searching in the health sciences and EBP

No previous experience with GenAI is needed. This workshop is ideal for students, faculty, or staff who have a basic familiarity with searching the literature in research databases in the health sciences.

This workshop will not be recorded, but slides will be shared with participants.

If you require an accommodation such as live captioning or interpretation to participate in this event, please contact Katherine Hoffman at katherine.hoffman@osumc.edu or (614) 292-4861. Requests made by Wednesday, October 29 will generally allow us to provide seamless access, but the university will make every effort to meet requests made after this date.
