Library for Health Information

The Library for Health Information (LHI), the consumer health branch of the Health Sciences Library, supports the personalized medicine mission of the Wexner Medical Center. We provide patients and their families, medical center staff and the general public with easy-to-read, evidence-based health information, reliable, evidence-based health information.

In-Person Resources

Visit the LHI in person to access print and electronic health education resources to help understand a health condition or treatment. Some of our materials are available in multiple languages, including Spanish. All requests are confidential and free of charge.

At the LHI you can:

• Print patient education materials
• Photocopy documents
• Utilize public computers
• Meet one-on-one with our consumer health librarian
• Pick up free leisure reading materials
• Access pre-printed resources 24/7 from the slat board outside of the LHI

How to get to the LHI:

• From the Medical Center Drive hospital entrance, check in as a visitor at the front desk (if you haven’t already).
• Walk past the welcome desk and take a left before the gift shop to find the elevators. Take the elevator to the 5^th floor.
• Follow the wall signage to the automatic doors that will take you to the atrium. Turn left and walk up the ramp.
• The LHI will be on your right with designated signage and glass windows so you can see the community computers and resources.

If you have health-related questions but aren’t able to visit in person, we encourage you to contact the LHI or utilize its online resources:

• Email us at health-info@osu.edu. Include as many details with your question as you can, and our librarian will send an email reply within two business days.
