This month, the LHI is observing National Diabetes Awareness Month. Resources from The Ohio State Wexner Medical Center patient education will be featured on the LHI information board, located in the Medical Center's 5th floor atrium.
Do you know the signs and risk factors for Type 1 diabetes, Type 2 diabetes, and prediabetes? We encourage you to talk to your healthcare provider if you have questions about diabetes. The Library for Health Information (LHI) can help you find additional trustworthy and reliable resources to support that conversation, including general information about diabetes, tips for eating healthier, recipes, and more.
Diabetes-friendly recipes that are great for tailgating or for the holidays are located at the bottom of this page. More recipes can be found on the Wexner Medical Center's Nutrition Services website.
LHI librarian Missy Creed spoke to Jenny Shrodes, Diabetes Educator at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, about various topics related to diabetes and diabetes awareness. The video series is also available on our Facebook page and on our YouTube playlist.
The breakfast skillet recipe, discussed in Part 3 of the Diabetes education video series, is located at the bottom of this page.
