Did you know more than 37 million Americans have diabetes (about 1 in 10), and approximately 90-95% of them have type 2 diabetes? Type 2 diabetes most often develops in people over age 45, but more and more children, teens, and young adults are also developing it.

Sources cited on this webpage are current as of October 3, 2022.

Learn more information on diabetes including how to prevent diabetes with the help of the LHI and MedlinePlus.gov. Contact the librarian at health-info@osu.edu or 614-293-3707 for reliable easy to read health information. During November, diabetes information can also be found outside the LHI in Rhodes Hall, 5th floor atrium, 24 hours a day/7 days a week.
