Prior Hall and the Health Sciences Library are closed until further notice.

In accordance with local, state and national directives to increase social distancing and to maintain the health of our customers, staff and community, Prior Hall and the Health Sciences Library remain closed until further notice. However, our staff is available to assist you virtually during this time:

  • Live chat hours: Monday through Friday, 12 – 4 PM EDT. Look for the green “Ask a Librarian” button on our home page; or
  • Email (hslinfo@osumc.edu)
  • Ask A Librarian Question Form: Use our Ask A Librarian Question Form to ask an OSU health sciences librarian your question. We strive to answer these questions within 24 hours, Monday through Friday.

FAQs

Can patrons return books?
The book drop is closed.  Please keep all materials until the library reopens. We recommend you confirm your due dates and renew your Ohio State University Libraries, OhioLINK and SearchOhio items online by logging into My Library Account as needed.

Will loans be extended? 
We have extended all due dates until the end of the current semester.  Even if you don’t see these extensions reflected in your Library Account, overdue fines are waived during the closure for all Ohio State University Libraries, OhioLINK and SearchOhio items.

Are late fees still being charged? 
Overdue fines are waived during the closure for all Ohio State University Libraries, OhioLINK and SearchOhio items.
