May is National Mental Health Month according to the National Health Observances from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The Library for Health Information has plenty of reliable information on what you need to know about mental health. Did you know that according to the Journal of Environmental Psychology (2014) people who do things in nature have better perceptions of their own emotional well-being? Did you know that people who feel they have a good work-life balance are more satisfied with their job and their life, and experience fewer symptoms of depression and anxiety (Journal of Vocational Behavior, 2014)? Did you know that humor can lift moods and help people to better deal with difficult experiences?
